Some days are hard.

Saw someone post and thought I'd share "Some days are hard. Some days it's difficult to find the joy. But then someone offers to take your cart for you, not to use, but to actually put away for you. And then sometimes you run into a friend you haven't seen in years and you get to hug each other and smile, those are the days to hold onto those are the days that you pause and look and remember the joy you found. The point is, life isn't easy but the days don't wait for them to get better. At the end of your day, think about things that went right or made you smile. It may be the sun, or the full moon, or a child's laugh, or a good cup of coffee. Hold on to that. Write it down and post it somewhere you can see to help remind you. Keep a list. My list? It even has pineapple on it because I like pineapple." I hope this post helps, it helped me.

We Sang a Song Today

Today we sang a song that was written out of a time of prayer over a young boy who ended up being healed. I found myself thinking that some people could be questioning why their storm hasn't changed. AND WHEN we choose to trust Him in the middle of the storm, we find joy, strength, a peace that surpasses all understanding, an unexplainable ability to keep moving forward, to keep singing praise, to keep trusting, to lov...

Choose Joy

There are days when things just seem to be crumbling around you-bills need to be paid, house needs to be cleaned, kids are hungry and complaining, you lack sleep, car needs servicing (or replacing), marriage is struggling, there's not much food in the house, depression is trying to take over, job isn't going well or you may not even have one, relationships fall apart, friends move away, you are being accused of something you didn't do....need I say more? How do you go on? How do you keep moving forward when life just keeps pushing back?  It just seems that today we are so focused on everything that is going bad. The news, the paper, magazines, social media--all point to the things that are just messed up.  But you know what? There are things that ARE GOOD. There are businesses that still care (like the one I just bought my rolling pin from), people who still go out of there way to help out. Why don't we hear about them? GREAT question. Hopefully one you can each answe...
